I have a question about getting a free copy of credit report?

I want a free copy of my credit report, so which site should I get it from? If I request my credit report, will it contain all the information from all three nationwide consumer reporting companies including Equifax, Experian, and Transunion? Do I have to request one individually from the three companies or do I just have to order one and everything will be included? How does this work? I’m new at this.

The answers with annualcreditreport.com are correct but you need to know what to look for and how to read the reports and last but not least what to do with the wrong items on your report and there will be as 70% of all consumers reports have some wrong information. Go to http://ftc.gov/credit and to understand how your score works go to http://www.myfico.com and to handle everything else http://creditinfocenter.com is a great place to learn by people with alot of experiance at no charge. Good Luck

You get one from each credit reporting agency. You have to ask for each one seperately. But just go to annualcreditreport and they will take you thru the steps. It’s a good idea to ask for a different agency every 4 months. That way you can keeps tabs on your credit report throughout the year and get 3 free reports for the year .

I don’t think you can get a free credit report from all 3 sites. There is a fee for all 3 at freecreditreport.com. If you apply for a loan you can get a copy of your credit report free.
